Please join us for the 2nd Annual Interdisciplinary Biological Sciences Symposium!
“From Code to Cure: Bridging the Gap in Biological Sciences”
The symposium will take place on April 3 - 4, 2024. This is a two-day event and on April 3, 2024, the event will be held at the Memorial Union – Great Hall with a poster presentation in the South Ballroom, and on Thursday, April 4th the event will be in the Hach Hall Atrium. Registration is open until April 3rd (you can register at the door), but we would like to have you register before March 20th for the accurate amount of food needed.
We are also pleased to announce that we will have a Creative Arts Showcase on Thursday, April 4th in the Hach Hall South side of the atrium. Faculty, students (both undergraduate and graduate) and staff are encouraged to submit and showcase their creative scientific talent! For more details on submission, please visit here.
We have four great speakers lined up:
- Jacob Hoyle – Lead Research Scientist from Living Carbon
- Dr. Joan Lunney – Distinguished Senior Research Scientist from the Animal Parasitic Diseases Laboratory
- Dr. Akhila Rajan – Associate Professor from the Fred Hutch Cancer Center
- Dr. Ming Tang – Director of Computational Biology from Immunities Therapeutics
There will be student/post-doc oral presentations on both days, and the schedule will be updated soon with when everyone will be speaking.
Posters will be up throughout the day on Wednesday (April 3) in the Memorial Union South Ballroom with two poster competitions from 11:00 – 12:30 and 3:30 – 5:00.
